About Lord Shree Dhanvantari
Lord Shree Dhanvantari, the Divine Physician and incarnation of Lord Vishnu, is revered as the God of Ayurveda — the eternal source of health, vitality, and divine healing. Emerging from the cosmic ocean during the Samudra Manthan, He held the sacred pot of Amrita — the nectar of immortality — symbolizing divine wellness and the end of disease.
Lord Dhanvantari’s blessings are invoked for good health, longevity, and freedom from illness. His divine teachings form the spiritual foundation of Ayurveda, guiding humanity toward harmony of body, mind, and soul.
ಶಂಖಂ ಚಕ್ರಮುಪರ್ಯಧಶ್ಚ ಕರಯೋಃ ದಿವ್ಯೌಷಧಂ ದಕ್ಷಿಣೇ।
ವಾಮೇನಾನ್ಯಕರೇಣ ಸಂಭ್ರತ ಸುಧಾಕುಂಭಂ ಜ್ವಲತ್ಕಾಪಿಲಂ॥
ಬಿಭ್ರಾಣಃ ಕರುಣಾಕರಃ ಶುಭಕರಃ ಸರ್ವಾಮಯಧ್ವಂಸಕಃ।
ಸರ್ವಂ ಮೇ ದುರಿತಂ ಛಿನತ್ತು ಭಗವಾನ್ ಧನ್ವಂತರಿಃ ಸಂತತಂ॥
“Holding the conch, discus, leech, and the pot of divine nectar, Lord Dhanvantari — embodiment of compassion and destroyer of all ailments — may He remove all our afflictions.”
ನಮಾಮಿ ಧನ್ವಂತರಿಮಾದಿದೇವಂ।
ಸುರಾಸುರೈರ್ವಂದಿತಪಾದಪದ್ಮಮ್॥
ಲೋಕೇ ಜರಾರುಗ್ಭಯ ಮೃತ್ಯುನಾಶಂ।
ದಾತಾರಮೀಶಂ ವಿವಿದೌಷಧೀನಾಂ॥
“I bow to Lord Dhanvantari, worshipped by gods and asuras alike — dispeller of disease, fear, and death, the divine giver of medicinal herbs.”
